What is a boda boda in Uganda?
Boda Boda motorcycles are used to do the work of public transport.
They first emerged on the Uganda-Kenya border during political instability in the 1970s, with the term “boda-boda” traced to drivers who shouted “border, border” at potential customers.
At the time, they were also a quick way to transport smugglers and their merchandise.
Matatu transport:
What matatu means?
A minibus (sits 14 passengers), or converted truck used as a taxi for public transport commonly used Uganda…
It’s the cheapest form of transport that picks and puts passengers at their requested stop as they travel on the route which the Matatu takes….
